In 1998, the association Neue Tierhilfe was able to take over the buildings thanks to a generous benefactor and has been running it since then. Here, our dogs for adoption, small animals, and chickens are lovingly cared for. On average, 50 - 55 animals live with us and are cared for daily. Our task is to find them a new home with suitable people where they can stay forever. Many of our charges have already gone through difficult times: they were given up, abandoned, or rescued from challenging circumstances. With us, they receive the care, medical attention, and affection they need to recover and regain trust. Some animals may move to a loving new home. Others, who are no longer adoptable due to age, illness, or special needs, stay with us and find their permanent home in our shelter.
