Blacky’s Small Animal Holiday Home The essentials at a glance: We are a small family business in 3127 Mühlethurnen/BE (route Bern - in 1998 we fulfilled our dream with the cat boarding, in addition to the Sandy riding school (for children), which has been around since 1990. The focus is always on the animals themselves, but of course, we want you as the owner to feel valued as well… :-) For example, we regularly provide you with current pictures of your loved ones on our photo page. These are random still images from the daily video recordings, which are produced to perhaps clarify any uncertainties later: If an animal needs veterinary treatment, e.g. from the "in-house" veterinarian, Martin Balsiger (the eldest of our four children), the owners might appreciate seeing a justification for it later…? It is also nice to be able to show the customer how comfortable their kitty felt with us, how it plays with others, eats, relaxes… etc. (a picture is worth a thousand words - and a video even more so… As of today (June 2022), about 2500 cats (some with quite long travel distances) have spent their holidays at Blacky’s. If you feel drawn to our offer and would like to entrust us with your kitty, the easiest way is to book a trial stay right away.
