So that every cat has a dignified retirement filled with love! The Oasis des Vétérans is a shelter located in the beautiful region of Gruyère, in the Canton of Fribourg, Switzerland. It is a non-profit association. Since October 22, 2008, the Oasis des Vétérans has been recognized as a public utility. Download the association's statutes here. We welcome abandoned cats, most of whom are elderly and/or sick. Priority is therefore given to cats in the greatest distress, as they are the ones who, due to their age, illness, or disability, have the most difficulty finding an adoptive home. We strive to find, as much as possible, a home for all our residents that corresponds to the one they may have known before and, above all, meets their new needs. Here, there are boxes with access to a 16m2 garden, no cages, and for some, parks of about 100m2 with little houses, plenty of beds with cushions and blankets. We also have a common area that includes the ground floor of the farm and a large garden. Our Veterans live there in total harmony and according to their desires. They can come and go as they please.
