The animals that arrive at our center often have suffered real torture, both physical and psychological. It is not always easy to establish a relationship with them when life has only shown them human cruelty and suffering. Sometimes there may be temporary guests, brought in for simpler reasons, and we manage to find them a home with reliable people. But most of the time, the animals stay here because adoption would be unthinkable, precisely due to the traumas they have suffered. We have volunteers who help us keep the shelter clean, take the animals for walks, and give them affection.
