Trained as an optician, which I have been practicing since 2009, I became a nutrition consultant in 2015 to guide dog and cat owners. Intrigued by the effects of diet on animal health and having two loyal four-legged companions, this choice seemed obvious to me. My role has been to carefully select quality foods to preserve the proper development and health of animals throughout their lives. After six years of activity in this field, during which I have observed various animal diseases, I lamented the fact that I could not follow animals suffering from an illness, as they have needs very different from those of a healthy animal. I have thus noticed several gaps in the market regarding nutrition for animals with pathologies, namely a lack of nutritional support, an absence of specific food ranges for simultaneous diseases, and a lack of knowledge in preparing homemade meals tailored to the needs of these animals.
